Christ's Little Pantry

"Take what you need. Leave what you can."

Our Little Pantry plays an important role in Murrysville’s ongoing battle against food insecurity, and it is making a big impact! This easily accessible food distribution center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; and it operates on a simple principle: “Take what you need. Leave what you can.”

The Little Pantry is one of our outreach ministries, and it emphasizes the fact that everyone can be a part of the fight against food insecurity in our area. The pantry operates upon a foundation of trust and dignity. People who want to use the pantry do not need to worry about completing paperwork and meeting eligibility requirements before they can access the food and supplies that they need. We hope that this approach can help eliminate the stigma that is often associated with seeking assistance and create a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

The impact of our Little Pantry extends beyond the distribution of food and other supplies. The pantry fosters a sense of community and encourages neighbors to be a part of what’s happening. Local residents are invited to help replenish the pantry and to join in a shared effort to serve people in our local community. The success of the pantry is a testament to the power of grassroots efforts and community-driven solutions.

Ministry initiatives like Christ’s Little Pantry provide a beacon of hope as the need for food assistance continues to grow. It's not just about fighting hunger. It’s about working together, embodying a spirit of generosity, and creating a future where no one has to face hunger alone. Our Little Panty proves that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a world of difference.
